1. Size Selection
   
   Dining Room: The chandelier should be ½ to ⅔ the width of the dining table.
   
   Living Room / Bedroom: Choose a fixture that complements room size—add the room’s length and width (in feet), and convert that number to inches for the ideal fixture diameter.
   
   Entryway: Select a light that fills the vertical space without overwhelming the area.
   
2. Installation Height
   
   Dining Table / Kitchen Island: Hang 30–36 inches above the table surface.
   
   Living Room / Bedroom: Leave at least 7 feet clearance from the floor.
   
   Staircase / Entryway: Position to allow clear visibility and proper balance within the space.
